Mountain,
Mid-West, Southwest, Mid-East, Atlantic, Northeast and Southeast. For more information on your regional competition click here.
There are two categories of competition at AYC Nationals: Show Cheer and Show Dance. The Divisions, themselves, are based on the age of the oldest competitor on the team. For example, Division 10 is for participants ten years of age and younger on July 31st, 2005. There are eight divisions offered ranging in age from eight to fifteen years of age. The Divisions are then broken into small and large categories. Small being that of five to nineteen competitors and the large division being twenty to 35 competitors. There are three ability levels being offered at Nationals 2005. They are the standard, intermediate and elite levels. Please refer to and study carefully the American Youth Cheerleading 2005 Nationals Rules and Regulations Packet for more detailed specifications and examples.
