Football Rules

American Youth Football, is a non-intrusive,
non-controlling organization, our rules, exist in two
independent structures.
First - You are free to play in accordance with your own
locally adopted and current governing rules, in so long
as your rules subscribe to the following governing
principles.1. Safety,
2. Sportsmanship and
3. Full Participation, (Everyone gets to play.)
Second - If your organization plans to participate in
AYF regional and national tournament competition, your
organization must play in accordance with AYF adopted
rules. This is only mandatory if you plan on
playing in AYF inter-league competitions.
AYF football rules are only available to our members.

Cheer Rules

own locally adopted and current governing rules, in so long as your
rules subscribe to the following governing principles.1. Safety,
2. Sportsmanship and
3. Full Participation
Second - If your organization plans to participate in AYF
regional and national cheer competitions, your organization must
abide by AYF adopted rules and cheer within the established
divisions. This is only mandatory if you plan on competing in
AYF cheer competitions.

Regulations

AYF football and cheer rules and regulations are updated annually.
Rules and regulations will be made available to members ONLY as soon
as the cheer and football rules committees have approved and
published any changes.
